  • Arthur Causer is the only player to have played for two league teams called North End.

  • North End were thrashed 6-0 in a league game at Huddersfield - a week before they got beat 1-0 in the FA Cup Final!

  • Former chairman W.E. Ord sadly died in February 1924. He had been chairman for 29 years.

  • Famous player Alex James made his debut for North End in 1925-26.

  • North End played an amazing derby game with Blackpool in 1925-26. The score finished 6-4 to North End with Harrison getting two goals and Gillespie, Russell, Jackson and James all getting one each.

  • North End infamously went on a end-of-season tour to the USA in 1929. Upon arriving, the crowd were hoping to see Alex James, but he didn't travel because he had been transferred to Arsenal shortly before the ship set sail.

  • North End suffered a record 7-0 league defeat against Nottm Forest in 1926-27.

  • North End continued with their regular trouncing of Cardiff City, this time 7-0 in 1930-31.
